Remote troubleshooting of your computer
If you have an internet connection, a tech coach can remotely take over your computer to work on a problem.
These are the steps:
- Call a tech coach
- goto www.showmypc.com
- if PC click "Show My PC to Remote User" if MAC click "MAC OSX Desktop Sharing"
- click on "Show MY PC" button to generate a share password
- relay password to tech coach on the phone
- at the other end, the tech coach will go through similar steps as yours except they will click on "View Remote PC" ( or MAC OSX Desktop Sharing) and input your password
- now the tech coach has control of your computer
Its actually very simple, and once you have a tech coach on the phone, they can walk you through the steps.
