Quicksheet using MACS with Smartboard


· Login as teacher. If you don’t know or remember password ask another teacher.

· Light on the right side of the Smartboard will go from red to blinking to solid green. This means the Smartboard is working correctly.

· Press the blinking yellow light on the panel, the projector will start up (it takes a minute or so). You know the projector is up and working when you see the projector logo on the screen. Then press computer 1 and the screen on your computer will appear on the Smartboard.

· If the projector logo does not show up you need to do the following:
Look up at the projector
If it is red, then disconnect the power cord to
the projector to reset it

· If only the background shows up you need to do the following:
Click on the Black Apple in the upper left corner
Open up System Preferences
Under Hardware, click on displays
Under display click on arrangement
Check box to match screens

If when touching the screen a notepad appears or if you cannot convert pen written to text, you need to do the following:
Click on the Black Apple in the upper left corner
Open up System Preferences
Under Hardware, click on inking
Turn off the use of the inking application on the MAC

· If sound does not come out of the speakers you need to do the following:
Click on the Black Apple in the upper left corner
Open up System Preferences
Under Hardware, click on sound
Under sound click on output
Choose USB as output

· Remember to not leave the projector on when you are not using it.
